Welcome to the main site for the Lobotomy Project.
Lobotomy is the collective name that involve more projects, all distributed under GPL license, each one with different scopes and different context but all targeting the same task: to develop a better paradigm of desktop environment.
It wants not to be the new KDE or the new GNOME: it is a box containing experimental concepts and ideas, sometime related with others and sometime indipendent, and the general purpouse is just to develop something new; perhaps good, perhaps bad, but new.
This is the current hierarchy for the projects involved into Lobotomy. Yellow boxes represent future plans currently in the todo list, and are shortly presented in this page.
